Thirty students
from the Class of 2001 returned to The
Solomon Schechter School of Queens for a
wonderful reunion before going off to
college. Four years after graduating, the
school looked surprisingly small, but oh so
familiar. Everyone enjoyed
seeing the growth and change in their
friends, while reminiscing about old times.
To add to the delight was the presence of
beloved teachers, Mr. Brian Riley, their
science teacher and Mrs. Pearl Shachar one
of the first grade Hebrew teachers.
The class of 44
students are on their way to very fine
colleges including Harvard, University of
Pennsylvania, Cornell, and Columbia, to name
a few. They are all looking forward to
coming back as college graduation time.
