Shorashim 3 y/o prog

Curriculum
The curriculum is theme based, age appropriate and addresses the developmental needs of all children. Since children at this age are inquisitive and exploratory, our classroom is organized with learning centers that offer the children the opportunity to explore and investigate through “play”. It is through play that children create their own meaning, develop language, resolve problems, acquire skills and concepts, learn to socialize, make decisions, question, evaluate and discover. Our curriculum provides children with activities in reading and math readiness, music and movement, dramatic play, block play and sand and water play. Ample opportunities are provided for children to develop their large and fine motor skills.
Judaic Program
The Judaic component of the Shorashim program is an important aspect of the instructional day and is integrated into the secular curriculum. It is rich with activities that instill in children a love and appreciation for their Jewish heritage and fosters a Jewish identity. Children learn about Jewish traditions and holidays, Bible stories and learn Israeli songs and dances. Jewish values such as kindness, respect, and doing good deeds are stressed as part of every day living throughout the school year.
