Volunteering: The Gift of Your Time

The Torah instructs the Jewish People to “teach your children (Deuteronomy 6:7)” about the love we have for God, each other, and the world. This is what we do at Schechter with all our heart, all our soul, and all our resources. Yet in order to succeed and flourish, we need the participation of the larger Schechter Queens community.
 

Financial giving is essential, but volunteering your time is an equally important way to give--in a way that can’t be measured.

Volunteering your time is a gift that forges the bonds of the community we share and treasure.

 

Through active participation in the Parents Association, The Committee on Education, the Development Committee, the Board, and various event and activity Planning Committees, there are many ways you can volunteer.

Some of the events and activities you might choose to get involved with include:

• Our Annual Gala Dinner and Tribute Journal

• Our Golf, Tennis, and Fitness Outing
